Undoubtedly one of the premier aviation collections in the world, the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon, houses an astonishing range of aircraft. You can see everything from early WW1 types right through to the most recently retired machines. There is a large number of WW2 Axis machines, too, alongside the Allied machines. If you have any interest in aviation at all, yoiu will find something here that grabs your attention. They have a Stranraer, for Pete's sake! You can even crawl through a Sunderland.
