This place is quite an experience. It is a fairly short drive from Edinburgh, but a bit of a trial by public transport. It is located on the old RAF East Fortune base, dating back to the Second World War, and most of the buildings are still there. It gives a great glimpse into what life might have been like on an airfield back then. The displays themselves are comprehensive and educational. Anastonishing range of aircraft are on display, too, from Cold War warriors to early civil types, pssenger jets and only recently retired military jets. One of the retired Concordes is on show here, too. Go see it!
