The Bad News:After twenty-something issues I have decided to cease writing The Grubby Truth newsletter.It's not that I have nothing to share, it's just that the time it takes is disproportionate to its reach. I feel there is a better way. The Better Way (The Good News):I have just started up a Grubby Fingers Facebook business page. I am already using it to post details of upcoming profiles and recently added prints and walkaround galleries. It is a much more immediate medium and I don't have to try and remember what I have and haven't told you all about!It also creates a venue for you to give me feedback on my work and make suggestions about future subjects. I'll also be posting news of upcoming airshows, modelling shows and the like as well as posting modelling tips , product reviews and event reports. I'm quite excited about the immediacy we'll be able to achieve and the fact that there will be an easy access feedback loop without having to resort to email. Please Like Me!It sounds so desperate, doesn't it! Those of you who are familiar with Facebook know that it works on a system of "Likes". If you like something (as in actually like something) you can Like it by clicking on a button and then all your friends get to see it, too.What I'm asking you to do is to Like the Grubby Fingers Aircraft Illustration Facebook page. That way all your friends get to see it and maybe some of their friends and that would help me a great deal! There is something in it for you, too. By liking the Grubby Fingers Facebook page you will get much more frequent updates from me than the the sporadic newsletters I've been managing so far. I'm going to download the mailing list and send each of you an email requesting that you Like the Grubby Fingers Facebook page. If you would like to keep receiving information about Grubby Fingers, scale modelling and aviation in general, accept the invitation.
